Dr. Kazuhiro Takanabe

Principal Investigator

Research Interests

Dr. Takanabe’s research interests are in the area of heterogeneous (photo)catalysis for energy conversion to develop sustainable system.
  • Photocatalytic overall water splitting to generate harnessing hydrogen from solar energy
  • Novel electrocatalysts for electrolyzer and fuel cells
  • Hydrogen generation and carrier (steam and dry reforming) from fossil fuels, biomass and chemical hydrides
  • Natural gas conversion and radical chemistry (Oxidative Coupling of Methane: OCM)
